“Durrani Law Firm filed immediate relative petitions for my in-laws. Their work greatly reduced our family's anxiety, both here in the U.S. and overseas. Everything was filed on time and without delay. Durrani Law Firm also did a great job keeping us informed of new developments”

H-1B and H-4 Visa Information
H-1B visas are appropriate for aliens coming
to the United States for temporary work in a specialty occupation.
H-4 status is given to dependents of H-1B workers. Read about
both here.
H-1B Visas and Social Security Cards
Certain states require that an H-1B nonimmigrant be issued a social security card before the state
or local licensing authority will issue a professional license to the alien to work in that
jurisdiction. According to the regulations of the Social Security Administration (SSA), an H-1B
alien is not able to obtain a social security card unless they are physically present in the United
States. Some H-1B petitions in these cases have been denied because the alien beneficiary has
not yet received his or her license. You can read more about this here.
