| Dear Readers, Although problems with H-1B temporary specialty
worker visas are not new news to most of you, these problems are finally coming to the attention
of the general public after lingering out of sight for some time. Because of the recent
graduation of many student visa holders, as well as mainstream articles such as A visa shortage in the Boston Globe, and Removing a
cap on a visa in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, the public at large is finally becoming
aware of the dire situation. It is our hope that the media attention will facilitate a
resolution to the H-1B problems, and as always we will do our share to bring about positive
changes in the law as well. It is my pleasure to serve you and keep you
informed. If you have any questions or concerns about immigration,
please feel free to e-mail me at sardar@durrani.com. Sincerely, Sardar Durrani | | | | In This Week's Issue: New Delhi DHS

New Delhi DHS Sub-Office
Tightens Procedures for I-130 Applications
According to Allen Kaye, the New Delhi DHS sub-office
is tightening its procedures for US citizens direct filing I-130s with their office.
Previously, an I-130 could be filed upon simply showing an entry stamp to prove ones presence
in India. Now, the office will require a verifiable 60 day presence prior to filing. The New
Delhi sub-office handles I-130 applications for all of India.
